Nampa, Idaho (CBS2) — Nampa police arrested a California man on several charges, including 1st degree kidnapping.
On Friday morning, dispatchers received a text-to-911 message from a woman who said she had been kidnapped and was being held against her will.
Dispatchers communicated with the victim via text and were able to get her location at a motel in the 1300 block of W. Industrial road.
Nampa Police patrol officers and detectives were dispatched and confirmed the woman was inside a room with a man -- and that she had been kidnapped and brought here from out of state.
As the two were preparing to leave the hotel, police took 40-year-old Emiliano Ramos into custody without incident. He was booked into the Canyon County Jail on charges of 1st degree kidnapping, rape and aggravated assault.
Police say the 29-year-old victim, who knew the suspect, is now safe. Nampa Detectives are in the process of reuniting her with family.
