I posted earlier about possibly changing our 2 week old’s name from [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] to [name_m]Lochlan[/name_m], but couldn’t decide. ( Sorry for taking up so much time here with all this!) Today the name [name_m]Declan[/name_m] occurred to me as maybe a good in- between name? [name_m]Declan[/name_m] is more known where I live I think, and has a softer sound and that I tend to like, and love the meaning. [name_m]Lochlan[/name_m] has that edgier sound, and is pretty unheard of around these parts. I like [name_m]Declan[/name_m] and [name_m]Lochlan[/name_m] equally (I’d probably use this spelling since I’m a bit Irish but no Scottish).
Any thoughts on preference would be appreciated! Our family is pretty athletic and outdoorsy so a name that kinda fits that (seems natural to cheer from the bleachers) is a bonus.
Also, are the initials DD a problem for a boy, do you think? His name would either be [name_m]Declan[/name_m] [name_m]Jake[/name_m] Dahlgren or [name_m]Lochlan[/name_m] [name_m]Jake[/name_m] Dahlgren. Is [name_m]Declan[/name_m] Dahlgren too much, or likely to be teased?
Our kids’ names are [name_m]Eli[/name_m], [name_f]Cadence[/name_f], [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] and [name_m]Griffin[/name_m].
