Eight small fires set at Boise State parking garage

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Officials in Boise are investigating after eight small fires were set in stairwells at the Lincoln Parking Garage at Boise State University.

Firefighters were called to a fire on the upper level of the parking garage at about 3:45 p.m. Sunday. Fire Capt. Chris Campbell says they found fires had been set in every stairwell in the parking garage, most on the fourth and fifth levels of the garage.

Firefighters found eight fires, six in stairwells and two in plastic garbage cans that melted.

Battalion Chief Steve Rasulo says no one has reported seeing the fires being set and there are no surveillance cameras in the garage.

Similar fires were set in October 2012 in the Lincoln and Brady parking garages at Boise State.
